MANILA, Philippines—TNT sniper Roger Pogoy is “doubtful” to play in Game 3 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals on Sunday.
Following the Tropang 5G’s victorious night at the expense of Rain or Shine on Friday, Pogoy said he may not be able to suit up when his squad goes for a 3-0 series lead due to a hamstring injury.

“I already felt something during Game 2 against Magnolia. I just played through it, even in Game 1 [of the semfinals]. Earlier, though, when I did a layup, I couldn’t raise it anymore,” said Pogoy after TNT’s 113-105 win in overtime over the Elasto Painters at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
“The doctors said it wasn’t serious, but told me to rest it.”
Pogoy reaggravated the injury when he landed awkwardly after a layup in the opening minute of the second quarter of Game 3. He had to be helped off the floor and did not return.
He finished with 11 points before the hamstring injury.

“I’m doubtful. I’m not sure if I could even play on Sunday. When I walk, I can really feel something.”
Pogoy also said he was listed as a “day-to-day” by TNT team doctors.
Stepping up for Pogoy’s absence in the Tropang 5G’s Game 2 win was Calvin Oftana, who finished with a game-high 39 points.
