Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams Drop Receipts Exposing Each Other After ‘RHOA’ Reunion
The friendship between Real Housewives of Atlanta stars, Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton, is officially done after the Season 16 reunion.
The former best friends found themselves in a heated online exchange following the airing of Part 2 of the RHOA Season 16 reunion. Porsha, 43, took to Instagram the morning after the episode to address what she called two lies told by Shamea during the reunion and recent interviews.
The first issue Porsha addressed was Shamea’s claim that Porsha did not attend her wedding. On The Breakfast Club, Shamea said she only had one wedding ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya, and Porsha did not attend.
However, Porsha responded by posting a throwback photo of herself with Shamea, writing in the caption that she was one of Shamea’s bridesmaids. Porsha clarified that while she didn’t attend the Kenya ceremony, she was present for a stateside celebration.
Shamea quickly hit back, accusing Porsha of twisting the narrative. “Again, I had 1 wedding that took place in Nairobi, Kenya! What you attended was my dowry ceremony in my mom’s backyard,” Shamea said in a now-deleted Instagram post.
The second source of tension between the women stemmed from Shamea’s promotion to full-time cast member—her long-awaited peach. Shamea claimed that Porsha never congratulated her, a point she also brought up during an interview with fellow castmate Kandi Burruss.
Porsha disputed that claim with multiple receipts. “I sent @shameamorton flowers to congratulate my bestie for her joining RHOA,” she wrote, sharing a video of the floral arrangement. The card attached read, “Congrats Queen Mwangi!”
She also posted a screenshot of her previous Instagram comment applauding Shamea’s casting news. The post had even been liked by Shamea at the time.
Despite the evidence, Shamea dismissed Porsha’s receipts as “fake.” “2nd you sent flowers my birthday week just before we started filming. I’d had my peach for over a month. I only said we never celebrated. You can keep your fake receipts with your fake ass friendship,” Shamea wrote.
Porsha then pointed out that the card on the bouquet made no mention of Shamea’s birthday. Shamea ended her post by addressing deeper issues in their fractured friendship.
“It’s crazy how I can be considered your lapdog for riding so hard for you but at the same time you say I was trying to sabotage you. Make it make sense!” she wrote. “Since I got my peach you’ve been trying to find a reason to end this friendship. You’re unbelievable!”
Neither star has indicated whether there’s hope for reconciliation, but fans will likely get more clarity when The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion concludes next Sunday at 8/7c on Bravo.
