Senators coach Travis Green told reporters Monday morning that his lineup will not change for an evening contest in Washington against the Capitals, meaning Jake Sanderson will play after an injury scare Saturday, per Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.
The defenceman was tangled up while battling for the puck along the boards when San Jose Sharks centre Tyler Toffoli caught him with a high crosscheck. No penalty was called on the play.
Sanderson went to the dressing room following the incident and did not return. He finished with an assist, four shots, two blocked shots and a hit in 26 minutes of ice time in the victory as Ottawa snapped a five-game skid.
Sanderson, 22, has logged six goals and 31 assists through 58 games played this season.
Meanwhile, Green said defenceman Tyler Kleven is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
