On this crazy season of Married At First Sight only one couple, Thomas McDonald and Camille Parsons said yes on decision day. Madison Myers and David Trimble waste no time going on a date with the cameras right there. Karla Juarez says no first to Juan Franco after the romantic chemistry just wasn’t there. Let’s take a closer look at what went down in this recap of Season 18, Episode 17 A Match Made in Scandal.
Married At First Sight: Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald Say Yes on Decision Day
It’s finally decision day on Married At First Sight and only one couple chose to stay married, Thomas McDonald and Camille Parsons. After the messy couples retreat imploded, everyone went back to Chicago to regroup. Karla Juarez and Juan Franco went into decision day undecided, but leaning into not staying married. Thomas and Camille have a romantic dinner before facing the experts. And discuss the issues they both have before D-day.
Camille Parsons worries that Thomas McDonald is a little wishy washy. She wishes he would take the lead more often. And there’s always that lack of swagger she complains about. Thomas McDonald is confident in wanting to stay married. He understands her concerns but assures her he will step up to make the hard decisions.
On Married At First Sight, Thomas McDonald goes into decision day with an angle. Since Camille was a basketball player, he brings a ball along to meet the experts. On it he wrote “Let’s Stay Married”. The pair share their ups and downs before the MAFS experts. Thomas gets down on one knee and presents the basketball to Camille. She jokes around for a minute by saying “sorry, but I just can’t” as everyone slightly panics. But finishes the sentence with “imagine a world not married to you”. Aww.
MAFS Scandalous Couple Madison Myers and David Trimble Go on a Date
With the smoke of Allen’s burnt Married At First Sight wedding vows still in the air, Madison Myers and David Trimble go on a giddy date to hit golf balls. They swoon over each other’s form and make it clear they are moving forward with this relationship. Of course this came after each had sat down with the experts and their spurned spouses to finalize the obvious divorces. David is clearly smitten and Madison eats up his flattery much like a late-night taco.
David Trimble was disgruntled and checked out as he sat on the couch with Michelle Tomblin to clarify there was no chance of anything but animosity between these two. Michelle laughed in disbelief throughout when he tried to defend his lying or brought up Madison. Dr. Pia Holec scolds him that she has “lost all respect for him”. But strangely never seemed to defend Emem Obot when Ikechi Ojore showed her no respect.
Allen Slovick is clearly deeply hurt and angry over being played on Married At First Sight. He can barely look at Madison Myers as she offers a lukewarm apology. She’s clearly relieved to be done with this charade. But Allen gets some digs in and she calls him a little spiteful. These two part ways as the experts offer Allen support.
Married At First Sight: Karla Juarez and Juan Franco Part as Friends
Karla Juarez is nothing but her unapologetic true self on Married At First Sight. Juan Franco admits she’s been hella fun. But he just never found that romantic attraction. It’s obvious the night before decision day, he isn’t going to want to go forward. Karla is open minded but isn’t going to settle for someone who’s not into her free-spirit. So she speaks first to say she’d like a divorce. Juan Franco agrees but they hug and leave as friends.
The Chicago gang meets for drinks to dish on decision day. Ikeche Ojore awkwardly shows up and Emem Obot is cordial at first. But it doesn’t take long before she calls him out and he turns everything on her as they loudly argue. Meanwhile David and Madison show up in matching red outfits. Allen Slovick refuses David Trimble’s handshake. And tension soars when Michelle overhears Madison say she never gave a sh*t about David. So next week the drama continues….stay tuned!
