Karen Huger Terrified Prison Thugs Will Target Her In Prison
Karen Huger is reportedly “in a panic” after being sentenced to jail time following her most recent DUI offense.
The 61-year-old Bravo personality was sentenced to two years behind bars — with one year suspended — leaving her to serve one full year at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Boyds, Maryland.
Karen Huger Sentenced After March 2023 Car Crash
The sentence was handed down on February 26 at Maryland’s Montgomery County Circuit Court after Karen was found guilty of driving under the influence (DUI), negligent driving, and failure to control speed to avoid a collision. She was acquitted of reckless driving.
The case stemmed from a March 2023 crash, marking Karen’s fourth DUI offense.
“She thought she’d get a few months — not a year,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “Her blood must have run cold when the sentence was handed down.”
She’s Terrified
According to insiders, the RHOP star is deeply shaken by the reality of serving time.
“She’s terrified what will become of her,” a source said. “She’s a celebrity, and quite rightly, she’ll be singled out as a target.”
Another insider added, “She’s just a skinny, bony thing — how will she defend herself?”
Karen is currently being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, which houses over 1,000 male and female inmates.
Fellow Housewives React to Sentencing
While Karen’s sentencing sent shockwaves through her fanbase, those close to the Housewives franchise were reportedly less surprised.
“The other Housewives were saying, ‘What did she expect?’” a source claimed. “It was her fourth DUI!”
Still, those in Karen’s circle are holding out hope she may receive an early release for good behavior.
Panic, Insomnia, and Legal Troubles
The fashion-forward Bravo star, who has an estimated net worth of $1.5 million, is reportedly struggling both emotionally and financially.
“She’s drowning in legal bills,” an insider said. “She’s having total panic attacks, insomnia, and not eating. It’s one big nightmare and going to be brutal after living a life of luxury.”
The same source added, “One year seems like a lifetime” to Karen.
