JT Thomas EXPOSES Venita Aspen for Lying & Hints at Suing Salley Carson for Defamation!
Jarrett “JT” Thomas is firing back at accusations from Southern Charm co-stars Venita Aspen and Salley Carson, setting the record straight on social media.
Over the weekend, Jarrett, 39, denied Venita’s claims that she spent $5,000 on him before discovering he was in a relationship, and he pushed back against Salley’s shocking allegation that he tried to blackmail her.
“Umm… we are/were best friends, I forgot my credit card in her car by accident, was hobbling with a cane a few days after a major ATV crash, and PayPal’d her back in full,” Jarrett explained in a comment on Us Weekly’s Instagram post about the situation.
“At the time it was funny, and we all laughed it off. Now it’s another little lie I get to deal with.”
Backing up his claims, Jarrett shared a PayPal screenshot confirming an April 1 transfer of $4,054.48—slightly less than the $5,000 Venita initially claimed. “And it wasn’t $5000… $4054.49 was the [number],” he clarified on his Instagram Story.
Meanwhile, Salley added her own accusations to the drama, commenting on social media, “He invited me into his home and then tried to blackmail me.” Jarrett wasted no time responding, calling her statement a complete lie. “She’s never been in my house, and I’ve never blackmailed anyone,” he fired back.
“She’s blocked, and my lawyers and I are deciding if we want to serve for defamation… probably not because candidly, it’s not worth my time or [money].”
Venita Aspen and Jarrett formed a close friendship that eventually turned romantic during Southern Charm Season 10. Their bond grew stronger after a joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live, with Venita referring to Jarrett as her best friend.
However, their relationship took a turn when Jarrett revealed he was dating someone else, leaving Venita blindsided.
The situation escalated when Jarrett introduced his new girlfriend, Ali Pereless, on Instagram in October 2024, leading to a complete communication breakdown between him and Venita.
With Southern Charm Season 10 airing Thursdays on Bravo, it’s clear the off-screen drama is just as intense as what’s playing out on TV.
