Sean Knight Nicholson, the grandson of veteran actor Jack Nicholson, is facing legal trouble following an alleged domestic violence incident involving a woman.

The 29-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and charged with felony domestic violence, according to reports. The identity of the woman remains undisclosed, and if convicted, Sean could face up to four years in a state prison.

So far, Jack Nicholson has not commented on his grandson’s arrest, though he has been seen together with Sean attending events with family.

Arrest records obtained by the outlet revealed that the 29-year-old was taken into custody on Tuesday in Los Angeles after an incident involving a woman.

Sean was then charged with felony domestic violence and was later released the same day on a $50,000 bond.

Despite the arrest, there are currently no pictures of his mugshot, as a representative for the LAPD’s Pacific Division stated they do not intend to release it.

There are also no details about the woman involved in the incident or whether she was taken into custody at the time of Sean’s arrest.

Sean’s most recent public relationship was with Elizabeth Lawlor, though he has not shared anything about her on social media since June 2024.

In the past, the filmmaker has been with Sean on occasion at events with his family, but has since focused on living a private life in recent years.

He was last spotted in public back in February when he made a rare appearance for “Saturday Night Live” at 50.

In footage from the time, the actor was seen exiting his hotel to attend the event and stopped for a few minutes to sign autographs for fans.

He appeared frail, walked with a cane, and had his daughter, Lorraine, by his side to assist him.
