Pop star Britney Spears may finally be ready to make a career comeback, and it’s all thanks to her son, Jayden.

Although her “The Woman In Me” memoir is being turned into a biopic, the “Toxic” singer hasn’t released new music in years.

However, that might all change now that her 18-year-old son is invested in launching a music career of his own.

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer has two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden James, 18. Over the winter break, Jayden came to live with his mother in California while he’s looking at schools to study music. Although they’ve had a rocky relationship in the past due to her controversial 13-year conservatorship, it looks like things are looking up.

Ever since Christmas, Britney has taken to Instagram in order to applaud her son’s musical skills. Things haven’t changed, with Britney sharing a video on Instagram of her son playing in their living room. “WOW WOW WOW !!!” she wrote in the caption. “That’s sick,” she can be heard saying as he plays.

In another Instagram video, she said that she felt his music in her bones, her heart, her lungs, her a–, and her throat. “He’s a genius and I’m in awe of him !!! I can’t believe he’s mine !!! I was honestly scared that’s not normal !!!” she wrote in the caption. Comments on both posts were disabled, but this video did receive over 90,000 likes.

It’s clear that Britney is proud of her son. On December 31, 2024, she took to Instagram to share another photo of him. “Mine forever !!! It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!! He’s mine I hadn’t seen him in 2 and half years or maybe 3 !!! I’m in shock !!!” she wrote in the caption.

“He came back and he feels older and smarter than me !!! He’s a man and I cry everyday of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!!” she continued, adding, “When he plays the whole earth shakes !!!”

It’s no secret that her fans have been begging for a career comeback ever since she released “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John. The track was released on August 22, 2022, and marks the first song that she released following the end of her court-ordered conservatorship in November 2021. The last single she released was “Mind Your Business,” a collaboration with will.i.am, in July 2023.

Creating a new single with her son, Jayden, would be a great way to help him get his foot in the door in an increasingly competitive industry. Although her website occasionally releases new merchandise from time to time, fans would love it if they got new music from the singer. With his piano skills, an accompanying vocal track from the singer could help make her son a household name.

It remains to be seen how involved Britney will be in her biopic, which features “Wicked” director Jon M. Chu and Marc Platt attached to produce the film. No casting announcements have been made yet, but Chu previously told Entertainment Tonight that he wants the “Circus” singer to be involved in the project.

“I haven’t really started anything fully yet,” Chu said. “She will be very involved in this. I have ideas and things, an approach of things, but it’s very very early.”

“I’ve seen all the fan casting,” he added of rumors that Britney will choose who gets to play her on screen. “And I always take that into consideration because maybe there’s a good idea out there we’ll have to see. We’ll have to see what the approach of the movie is because we know who is right for it, but I’m open for anything.”

Another way that Britney’s son could help get his name out there is to have him appear in her biopic – whether in a cameo role or as himself. Although many fans know that Britney Spears had two sons, they were predominantly raised by their father, who recently moved to Hawaii with his wife, former volleyball player Victoria Prince.

Britney has talked about her desire to be a good mother time and time again and it’s clear that she would do anything for her two boys, which is why fans have no doubt that she would step back into the music industry if it would help one of her son’s succeed in the highly competitive industry.
