On Thursday, it was revealed that Guerrero had been voted onto Phase 2 of All-Star voting as one of the top two vote-getters among AL first basemen and will go against Paul Goldschmidt for a starting spot in this year’s Midsummer Classic in Atlanta.
After going 2-for-4 on Friday, the right-handed slugger is slashing .284/.390/.449 with 11 home runs and 40 RBIs through 80 games this season.
