Anne Hathaway has left fans buzzing about the chances that she had plastic surgery following her stunning appearance at the 2025 Met Gala ceremony in New York City.

The actress has previously denied going under the knife but confessed that she’d always fancied the idea of getting a nose job while growing up because she didn’t “think her nose was good.”

Meanwhile, a famous plastic surgeon has shared that he “had no doubts” that Anne Hathaway had a procedure on her nose, as it appears she refined her tip with a finesse rhinoplasty.

Hathaway showed up in style for fashion’s biggest night but left fans speculating that she had plastic surgery to achieve her youthful look.

The 42-year-old actress, who wore a dress by Wes Gordon and Carolina Herrera, stopped for a chat with Vogue Magazine, where she opened up about how the late André Leon Talley influenced her look.

The “Devil Wears Prada” star walked the carpet in a crisp white dress shirt with a very wide collar that almost covered her shoulders. She tucked the shirt into a beaded maxi skirt in a black and silver striped pattern, and paired it with sky-high black heels.

Hathaway then made a statement by rocking a massive diamond necklace with a giant rectangular sapphire at the center, from Bulgari.

Hathaway not only stole the spotlight with her dress at the Met Gala, but also sparked plastic surgery rumors.

“Whoa, she really got some obvious work done on her upper face. Maybe a brow lift. She’s trying to distract/cover up with pulled-back hair,” a fan wrote on Instagram.

“Her facelift looks fantastic! Just the right fit,” another said, while a third noted, “All I know is the eyebrows move!”

“Did she have anything done to her face? She looks younger. Absolutely gorgeous,” someone else commented.

Hathaway first sparked the rumors a few weeks ago when her face seemed suspiciously smoother than it was just six months ago.

The 42-year-old Oscar winner set tongues wagging as she debuted her fresh-faced look at the Ralph Lauren fall 2025 runway presentation held at the Jack Shainman Gallery in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood last month.

According to the Daily Mail, in 2023, plastic surgeon Gary Motykie said he had “no doubt [Hathaway] had surgery on her nose,” as it appears she refined her tip with a finesse rhinoplasty.

“You see it go from a slightly more plunging bulbous tip with a wide bridge to having a much more defined contour, a thinner bridge, and a thinner tip, and more tip projection. That’s the leading sign of having a rhinoplasty,” Motykie speculated.

The surgeon continued, “We also see that natural sign of thinning and baby fat going away on her face, but it does appear to be more maintained. So, again, I am suspicious of things like fillers, Botox, maintenance with micro-needling and skin tightening, things to just maintain the skin.”

“I  also noticed her jawline is a bit narrower, again, that could be the normal loss of body fat, or it could be some slight contouring to the jawline to bring in that lower face with things like Botox to narrow that lower part of the face,” he added.

Back in 2008, the “Interstellar” actress denied that she’d ever gone under the knife but confessed she’d always wanted a nose job done on her nose.

“When I was growing up, I wanted a nose job, because I didn’t think my nose was good,” she said, per the Daily Mail. “Your face needs to have character if you’re going to be an actor, or you’re just kind of a face.”

Hathaway has weighed in on how she has seemingly managed to protect her skin from the harmful effects of the sun, sharing that her mom had always encouraged her to wear sunscreen daily from a young age.

“I even carry an umbrella if I walk in the sunshine and use spray tan if I need to look as if I’ve been sunbathing,” she told The Sun back in 2012.

In 2022, Hathaway took on the role of Rebekah Neumann, the wife of WeWork founder Adam Neumann, in the Apple series “WeCrashed.”

The businesswoman is renowned for sticking to a vegan diet, a lifestyle Hathaway tried to imitate for the role. She avoided all animal-based meals and only ate raw or prepared items at temperatures below 40°C.

Speaking on her diet change, Hathaway declared that she “became vegan” during an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

At the time, she explained that Rebekah’s lifestyle influenced her decision to choose the no-meat path.

“Rebekah is a very passionate vegan,” she noted, adding, “I think I’m a vegan now.”

She continued, “Like, ‘I think this is it … I know I’ve done it before, and I know it’s never stuck, but I think this is the time that I’m doing it.'”

However, Hathaway’s decision to go completely vegan was short-lived. Barely weeks after filming, she started craving meat once more and went off the diet.
