The 2025 Stanley Cup Final schedule is now set. We get to see a rematch of last year’s Final. The first match will be on Wednesday, June 4th. The Edmonton OIlers host the Florida Panthers. This is the first time that we’ve seen a rematch of the final since 2008 and 2009. Then, the Detroit Red Wings won in 2008 and the Penguins won in 2009.
How Did Florida and Edmonton Perform in the 2024-25 NHL Regular Season?
During the regular season, Edmonton earned a few more points than Florida (101 to 98). The Oilers regular season record was 48-29-5 and Florida was 47-31-4. Both teams finished third in their respective division. If Edmonton can pull off the win, this will be the first time in a number of years that a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup.
