The 2025 College World Series schedule and bracket runs from June 13 through June 22nd or 23rd depending on the results of the finals. The tournament selections for the NCAA DI baseball tournament have taken place. Is There a Difference Between the DI Tournament and the College World Series (CWS)?
I have found that fans who are new to college baseball can get confused a tad with the postseason format. Specifically if there are two different tournaments. The College World Series is the basketball equivalent of the Elite 8 is the best way that I’ve found to answer their questions. The DI tournament kicks off in May with 64 teams playing in regions.
There are multiple games across two rounds of play. Then, the winners move on to the CWS to play in two brackets. When Did the NCAA Start the College World Series?
The first NCAA DI postseason baseball tournament took place in 1947. It only had eight teams. They played in two, four team single elimination brackets. Yale and Cal won these brackets and met in a best-of-three final in Kalamazoo. Cal would win the first College World Series and the NCAA title.
2025 College World Series Schedule (Day by Day)
Here is the day by day 2025 College World Series schedule. All of the games are broadcast nationally on the ESPN family of networks. ESPN has most of the games. ABC will broadcast the Finals. They can change up which ESPN network will show the games as we get closer, so stay tuned for updates.
